Wiltshire Mind (UK, 1113751) Browse events

YTD Raised: £2,948.36

Wiltshire Mind is a Mental Health Charity providing much needed services to mental health sufferers across the county of Wiltshire. Established in 1993, Wiltshire Mind provides two core services: a Peer Support Drop-In Group service at five locations which operate for 3 hours once a week at which we offer activity based and talking based therapies. The Groups provide a friendly safe place where anyone can find support and friendship; a professional Counselling service is also provided at our office in Melksham - this is a reduced cost service aimed at financially disadvantaged mental health sufferers. Whilst Wiltshire Mind is affiliated to Mind (national organisation), we are responsible for our own fundraising however and receive no financial support from national Mind, and thus we are heavily reliant upon kind donations and fundraising events to continue to deliver our valuable services. Our web site is: www.wiltshiremind.co.uk . Here you can find further information on Wiltshire Mind and our services. You will also be able to see any fundraising events taking place or charity challenges. Thank you for looking at our Charity Page and thank you for your donation.

SMART - improving opportunities for vulnerable people One in five of us will be affected by drug or alcohol misuse at some point in our lives. Our experiences will range from supporting loved ones or friends, to being the victim of a crime committed by someone to fund their use.At SMART we believe everyone has the ability to change. By empowering people to break the cycle of addiction, we help them transform their future, and lead fulfilling and rewarding lives.Reaching and maintaining recovery requires much more than absence of drugs or alcohol; we are experienced in meeting the many challenges that vulnerable people face; such as access to secure housing, education and employment opportunities, and a supportive community. How you can help us However big or small your gift is, you can be sure that it will mean a lot to the people we work with.   For example: £20 could pay for a weekly gym pass; a positive recovery activity for a service user £50 could fund a week of vital support from a volunteer Mentor £66 could pay for a Mother and Toddler Recovery support group £120 could fund a course of vaccinations for a service user, protecting them from blood-borne viruses If you would like to raise money in support of our work improving opportunities for vulnerable people, we can help you make it happen.  If you have an idea, please get in touch. Thank you!!
