Supporting people of any age with caring responsibilities. South Lakeland Carers is a local independent registered charity (Charity No: 101 7463), covering the South Lakes area of Cumbria. In addition the organization is a network member of the Princess Royal Trust for Carers within the UK. Services and support is currently offered to around 700 people with caring responsibilities. Needs are assessed through the formal Carers Assessment process. SLC is contracted by Cumbria County Council to conduct these assessments on behalf of the local authority. Support is offered to both adult and young carers representing an age range form 5 years upwards. In response to needs a number of services may be offered: Contingency Planning, Relaxation Therapy , Counselling, on-going support form a Carer Support Worker, support groups in various locations, a weekly drop-in, monthly lunch club, away days and training. Almost all services are provided free of charge to carers.

Eating Disorder is a serious condition that has the highest death rate amongst all types of mental illness. Eating Disorder Service (EDS) has been offering a comprehensive range of care to sufferers in our local communities since 1995. We are a registered charity funded by local health commissioning groups to support those with a recognisable eating disorder. EDS is the only integrated community service in S Devon that offers short to medium-termed psychotherapy plus specialist dietetic input for people age 18+. In order to improve access for localities outside Plymouth, we also see clients in 3 outposts in various S Devon locations. EDS work closely with statutory health services to provide safe & thoughtful packages of care for our clients & their carers/families. We process around 300 referrals per year and work with 50 - 60 clients per week offering different levels of therapy input tailored to individuals' needs.
We provide care and support to anyone over the age of 50. It tries to replace the services that were once provided by local government,and has been around for the last 34 years. We are reliant on external fundraising to enable us to continue our much needed services to the lonely and less fortunate.

The Nicky Alliance Day Centre is for people who are socially isolated, are frail or have physical disabilities, including loss of sight and hearing and have mild to moderate dementia. Most members are over 65.Transport is available to and from the Centre. A three course nutritious lunch is served.
POINT Founded in 2010 with just 45 members, POINT Forum now has over 850 members and is Oldham’s Established Parent Forum for Parents and Carers of Children and Young People aged 0-25 with Additional Needs, who live in or access Services in Oldham. We were established over 20 years ago by a group of qualified counsellors as a way of providing access to a counselling service for those who might not otherwise be able to afford it.We are now a team of 32 in all with 22 counsellors, all fully trained and qualified who volunteer their time to provide valuable counselling to those who need help and can benefit positively so that they may return to a full and happy life. We offer a discreet and friendly service where client confidentiality is our number one priority Last year we delivered over 2,500 counselling hours to clients although we receive no direct funding from any statutory or public bodies, and over 80% of our clients are referrals from local GP surgeries as at present there is no NHS provision in the north of Hampshire for counselling.They do this because of our excellent reputation and professional service. So, as you can see your help is really vital for us to continue to deliver the wonderful support we give to those who come to us seeking help with a range of issues including, work place stress, depression, financial difficulties, relationship issues, bereavement, substance and alcohol dependency and all forms of abuse. Somerset and Wessex Eating Disorders Association (SWEDA) offers a range of services throughout Somerset and the surrounding area. Based at Shepton Mallet in Somerset, in the Southwest of England (UK), we provide support to anyone affected by eating disorders, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, compulsive eating, binge eating disorder and all related conditions. Our services include Counselling Services, a monthly Self help Support Group, Training and Presentations for Health Professionals and GPs, and an Outreach and Community Support programme, working with young people in Secondary Schools and four of the major Colleges in the county.
