The MindEd Trust is a conduit for the transfer of funds and leading-edge expertise into the education system for the benefit of all young people. The Trust has no overheads, no employees and will not provide any direct services. Every pound raised will support carefully researched wellbeing and mental health literacy programmes which are designed to prevent psychosis in young people. The Trust has two support Councils. The Advisory Council comprises leading academics from around the world, including Cambridge University, UK health professionals and senior charity executives. The Community Council comprises politicians, healthcare workers, parents, teachers and young people. The objective of the Trust is simple: give the NHS less to do by preventing young people falling into crisis. This will be achieved by adding mental health to the school curriculum to improve resilience, destroy stigma and strengthen care systems. Please help The MindEd Trust to help the next generation. Thank you.
As an organisation working with and for older people in the city of Sunderland for over 60 years, Age UK Sunderland believe firmly in our mission statement and aim - ‘To promote the well being of all older people throughout the City of Sunderland, improve their quality of life and help them maintain their independence.’ Every donation we receive will help us to make a personal difference to the lives of older people, their families and carers throughout Sunderland. We help those who are lonely and isolated by offering a home-visiting service by one of our trained volunteers. We assist older people experiencing financial hardship to claim their benefit entitlements. We provide someone to turn to for information and advice in order to find solutions, reduce anxiety and rediscover a sense of empowerment. We organise day opportunities and social activities - including day and lunch clubs, day services, computer classes, exercise classes, to name but a few. We support people to remain independent in their own homes. We are there for older people in times of need and when, perhaps, there is no-one else to turn to or even family and friends need more information and support. We depend on donations to ensure that we can continue to work alongside, help, support and empower 2,000 older people per week in Sunderland. Many thanks for your help.

We all know someone struggling daily with their mental wellbeing: someone who used to be able to cope but now finds simple daily tasks frightening and overwhelming. You may not know how to help them, but here at FDAMH we do. Described by one of the many people who use our services as 'a light in a dark place' for those experiencing reduced mental well-being, we recognise that each individual's journey towards recovery will be unique to them. Your donation will help us give Dana the confidence to fulfill her wish of years to get on a train and visit her son 300 miles away or allow Bill to come to terms with his wife's depression and regain the pleasures that life had lost - with your support, we will be there when you or someone close to you needs us.

Reflect is a free support service for men and women facing an unplanned or crisis pregnancy and for those who have experienced pregnancy loss. Our vision is to see women and men in York (and surrounding areas) enabled to make an informed decision about a crisis pregnancy without fear, pressure or judgment. Motivated by Christian compassion, we support people in this difficult situation through the decision-making process and beyond, whatever the outcome. We raise awareness of the issues surrounding pregnancy including: parenting, abortion, adoption, miscarriage, and infertility, and support those affected. Many people are affected by these difficulties - 1 in 3 women will have an abortion in their lifetime, more will have a crisis pregnancy and 1 in 4 early pregnancies end in miscarriage. There is a great need for our work and every penny really does count. "We can safely say that the day we found Reflect was the day that changed our lives forever. We have a better understanding of ourselves, each other and have gained skills that will enable us to be strong and deal with whatever other events life has in store for us." (A couple who completed our Journey Course for post-abortion recovery)
