Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate.SMILE (Preston) is a registered charity and a self-help group for Chronic Pain Sufferers. SMILE (Preston) is run by volunteer members and we have weekly meetings, with alternative therapies and organized trips for the benefit of our members. Chronic Pain can be very debilitating and sufferers, can often feel alone. This can lead to anxiety, the loss of jobs, careers and independence. It can also seriously affect relationships and can subsequently lead to depression. Our charity aims to provide chronic pain sufferers, with a relaxed weekly meeting where you need not explain your particular challenges, problems or pain, as we are all faced with our own. That brings common ground and understanding, where perhaps it is not found elsewhere. Through this understanding we provide one another with compassion and empathy and above all support. We are totally self-financing through annual and weekly subscriptions, grants, collections and fundraising activities. Please donate to support our cause.
