Teacher Support Network is a unique charity, dedicated to providing vital support to the teaching profession in England and Wales. Teachers play a vital role in all our lives, as we count on them to educate and inspire our young people. It is therefore in all our intrests to ensure that they get the support they need to improve their wellbeing and effectiveness. We are the charity for all teachers - and we support teachers at every stage of their career and throughout their retirement. The number of teachers coming to us for help continues to rise year on year - so your support means a lot to us. We provide support through a free 24/7 confidential phone line giving counselling advice and support on emotional, personal, professional and financial matters. We also provide online counselling, financial hardship grants and an online info centre. Our services are open to all teachers, former teachers and their families.

F.A.S.A FASA is a community based professional organisation providing services for those directly or indirectly affected by Substance Misuse or Suicide/Self Harm. Formed in 1995 by local parents in the Greater Shankill area, FASA has developed a range of services designed to cater to geographical and thematic areas of need. FASA provide a range of services which include: Targeted Education, Intervention, Treatment, Training and Crisis Response for dealing with problematic and dependant use of alcohol, drugs and other substances. Since 2006 FASA has developed further intergrated services to support those directly or indirectly affected by Suicide or Self Harm including: Prevention, intervention and postvention support as well as Training, Crisis response and Bereaved Family Support Groups. FASA works in partnership with all sections of society - sharing models of good practice and training with representative agencies such as; PBNI, Local Trusts, Education Boards, NIHE, Youth Justice Agency, Social Services, PSNI and a wide range of Voluntary & Community sector Agencies/Groups.

The Seaford Down's Syndrome and Special Needs Support Group is a registered charity and aims to provide enrichment to the lives of children with Down's Syndrome and other special needs and their families.
We are often out and about in Durham. You might have seen us at Durham Miners Gala, or fundraising in Durham City, or you may have walked past our centre in Sutton Street, just down the road from Durham railway station. Everyone is welcome to call into our centre, and we welcome everyone, for a chat about how you are feling, and also for enquiries about joining our branch as a volunteer. We provide a 24 hour service giving emotional support to people experiencing distress or despair, including thoughts that may lead to suicide. Our service is completely confidential. We dont give advice and we don’t judge we are here to help by listening. Samaritans can be contacted by phone, email, or text. Garrison Girls are on a mission to raise £5million to set up a permanent retreat where we can continue to offer treatment and support to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder sufferers and their families. We will be one of the first places in the UK to do this. Our focus is on supporting Military PTSD sufferers and their families; treating the family as a whole unit. The retreat will be able to offer a wide range of treatments to help them recover and overcome the trauma they have experienced. Our objective is to help stop the devastation of PTSD from breaking down a family and help ALL the victims of PTSD.
We support the Chaplain in a wide variety of educational and social programmes to appeal to all the Jewish University students in Yorkshire. The Chaplain and his wife provide a warm friendly environment in their home on campus offering Sabbath dinners & lunches. They encourage activities including Lunch n Learn, BBQ's cooking and discussions. They also offer counselling and recommend the appropriate welfare organisations.

The Dover Counselling Centre (DCC) was formed in June 1988, taking over in title from the Herald Assistance Unit, offering a confidential counselling service, in a safe environment where people in distress can refer themselves. Its team remain as passionate about its work today as those who initially founded the Charity almost 27 years ago. DCC cannot shout about its work, because of the nature of the service, it is vital to its existence that a strict code of confidentiality is maintained to protect those using the service.Situated in a quiet area of Dover, close to the town centre, and easily reached by road or on foot, it has been said that the Dover Counselling Centre offers an oasis of calm in a turbulent world.DCC’s team offers a warm welcome, even a cup of tea or coffee, to all those who come through its doors, whilst at the same, offering a professional and confidential service.
Samaritans offers 24 hour emotional support to anyone going through a crisis of any kind or anyone who needs to talk in complete confidence without being judged. Yeovil Samaritans speak to people in Somerset and Dorset, as well as taking calls from all over the UK.We have been open in Yeovil for just over 40 years. We work with other organisations including Guys Marsh prison, the local hospital, Cruse and local colleges and schools - offering support and partnership. We have 116 volunteers aged between 23 and over 80, who answer over 25,000 calls 24/7 and reply to over 1,200 emails a year. We raise funds to run the branch and keep the service going

The Samaritans of Inverclyde are here for people who are in despair, even to the point of considering taking their own life. When we are contacted by telephone, e-mail, SMS texting or face-to-face at the branch, we listen and do not judge. We allow our caller anonymity and provide a safe and confidential service where anyone can speak of his or her own problems. We believe that by doing this our caller can then see their options clearer. We have specially trained volunteers and are also in partnership with mental health organisations and the homeless. Our vision is that fewer people die of suicide and our mission is to expand our branch to be available as many hours as possible for people in need of our support. The branch is self funded and costs about £10000 a year to run, therefore any donations are gratefully received and contribute to the continuity of our service.
