We are also able to assist with emotional, physical and stress related problems. Like all charities, we are very committed to our work and believe in offering clients support that is ethical and clinically sound. Founded over thirty years ago, our organisation has assisted many in the process of recovery from unhealthy dependency. We offer a care plan to incorporate treatment, rehabilitation as well as support for the whole family. Services include: Individual, Partners, Family, Children & Young Persons Therapy, Pre-Detox Groups, Relapse Prevention, Open Sessions, Womens Groups, Training Towards Employment, Training & Consultancy. Demand for our services has increased significantly as people have found it harder to cope with their lives in this period of economic uncertainty. We operate within a tight budget, and to enable us to continue to expand our service levels to meet the local community need, an increase in our year on year donations are necessary. Many of those we work with are struggling with family breakdown, unemployment, addiction, domestic violence and ill health. Inspired by our Christian faith ARK Eastleigh brings practical help, emotional support and hope to the poor and socially excluded by encouraging local churches to engage with their community. Please visit the Help (Help guides) page from the menu at the top of this page and then read the "help for donors" section to find out more about how to make a single donation or to give on a regular basis. If you could consider donating using a debit card rather than a credit card that would be fantastic as it has much lower fees.http://www.btplc.com/mydonate/Help/Helpguides/Fordonors/Donor.aspx Thank you The ARK Team Charity No: 1157848 Find out more Website http://www.arkeastleigh.co.uk Facebook Please click here to visit our Facebook page
We assist those who are in distress or are suicidal through a listening service via the telephone, face to face meetings, e-mail and text messaging. The service is available to all 24/7 through our highly trained volunteers. While all our work is carried out by volunteers, we still have a building to maintain and bills to pay: it costs us around £500 each week to keep running. We rely on donations from the public to continue supporting the 11,000 or more callers who contact us each year. Your support is always appreciated and makes a real difference.

The Geoff Ashcroft Community aims to help promote positive mental health and emotional well-being amongst vulnerable people living in Tower Hamlets. Our mission is to build an expression of community that offers a place of belonging, safety, confidence, friendship and service.
Community Network is committed to combating the devastating effects loneliness and social isolation have on health and well-being. We do this by bringing people together in groups on the phone to create Telephone Communities, allowing people to actively participate and discuss the matters that mean the most to them and most importantly have the vital human contact that many of us take for granted. We are helped by volunteers who give their time and their skills and we keep our costs as low as possible. However, we need your help connect up more isolated people through our Telephone Communities. £8 can help a lonely, housebound person connect with others through a Telephone Community group. £60 can connect up 6 people for an hour reducing their loneliness. £140 can train a volunteer Facilitator to lead Telephone Community groups, improving health, wellbeing and reducing feelings of loneliness. £10 helps to pay our necessary running costs such as rent, postage, salaries. Any gift, however big or small, you can give will go to making a difference to the life of a person who might otherwise be feeling alone, depressed or isolated. Thank you.

'Home-Start North Down reaches out to over 100 local families every year - recruiting and training volunteers to support parents with young children at home. We support families who are struggling to cope because of illness, isolation, mental health, lone parenting, bereavement, domestic violence, disability, multiple birth or multiple children under school age. Home-Start North Down’s work is simple, cost effective and it works. As one of our parents put it, ‘...you have given me friendship, help, advice and the support I really needed. Before Home-Start my life was in turmoil. I suffered from depression, low self-esteem, no confidence and I felt isolated ….. I had hit rock bottom. Home-Start helped kick-start the beginnings of a new chapter in my life’
