Parenting young children can be difficult at the best of times but when you have other issues or problems to cope with as well, it can become overwhelming. This is where Home-Start can help. What we do Last year we supported 250 families with over 500 children in the borough of Richmond upon Thames. We have about 100 home-visiting volunteers who are trained to support families (with at least one child under 5) who are experiencing difficulties such as post-natal depression, isolation, disability of parent or child, bereavement or a combination of factors that impact on their children’s development.
