Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP) is one of the rarest and most disabling genetic conditions known to medicine, causing bone to form in muscles and other connective tissues such as tendons and ligaments turning otherwise healthy people into human statues. A healthy mind locked inside a frozen body. The condition is so rare (1 in 2,000,000) that little commercial interest exists in finding a cure so Oliver and his friends need your help. Please be a FOP Friend by supporting our charity. Your donations are the difference between research continuing and it stopping completely. Even the smallest donations make a big difference.

Victorias Wish was set up in honour of a young lady Victoria Marie Lawrence who was beautiful both inside and out. From the age of 7, Victorias Wish was to become a nurse after watching her younger sister recieve treatment on the oncology ward at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary. In September 2008 her dream came true as she was accepted onto the paediatric nursing course at Teesside university. On December 8th her big day came and she put her uniform on for the first time, little did anyone know it would be her last. Sadly on December 12th Victoria died very suddenly. An autopsy showed she had Sepsis, bronical phnomonia and Emphya. Victoria loved children and was never happier than when she saw a child smile. Victorias Wish provides three or more activities a year for children who have cancer or other life threatening illnesses, Grants to help with Medical, travel and funeral expenses as well as respite breaks. We always include mums, dads and siblings in the events as we hope to create happy memories to treasure forever, as sadly some of our children die. Autism is such a challenging disability, a condition that often goes unnoticed by the public and a condition that many people do not know how to respond to. Autism Unseen campaigns to not only create a greater awareness regarding autism, but to also deliver experiences to autistic individuals that they would not normally be able to achieve.Social exclusion, being bullied, lack of confidence, and limited employment opportunities are all part of the daily life of an autistic individual. From teens through to adulthood the disadvantages of being autistic are only too plain to see, and these unfortunate youngsters are often on the treadmill of life, but going nowhere.Autism Unseen has a mandate to change this, to speak to schools and colleges, to remove social exclusion, to increase work opportunities, to create a greater awareness surrounding autism and to deliver a series of outstanding events, such as the Kilimanjaro Challenge and others to follow. AUTISM UNSEEN - KILIMANJARO CHALLENGEThe Kilimanjaro Challenge, taking place in August 2017, is the first of its kind, three years in the planning. It is a life changing experience for our team of 10 autistic individuals, who will be taking part in this epic adventure to climb 20,000 feet and stand on the ‘Roof of Africa’. Please follow the event link below and donate to this challenge. Without your kind donations the Kilimanjaro Challenge would not be possible. By your generosity, you will help provide these autistic individuals, with an opportunity to not only scale the heights of Kilimanjaro, but to also take part in an individual challenge, that requires courage, fortitude and a commitment to succeed.
