SAFE offers a valuable opportunity to exchange information on practical topics such as how to claim benefits, how to obtain statements of special educational need, how to access support, how to get into the job market, how to get help developing social skills and planning for the future. We work with employment, education, health, mental health and social care departments to improve and develop services for people with Aspergers syndrome and their families.

Joss Searchlight was established after our son Joss lost his battle to a brain tumour in January 2011.  With brain tumours being the biggest paediatric cancer killer in the UK, there has never been a greater need for our charity. Joss Searchlight provides co-ordinated support to families of children with brain tumours. A key worker will provide practical and emotional support, advise on resources available, benefit entitlements and liaise with specialist services.  Through our Toy Library we also supply toys and entertainment equipment to brighten the lives of children undergoing treatment for brain tumours.  Very importantly we also offer a  Wishes Come True service.  (Poorly children deserve treats.)
