HOPE not hate exists to provide a positive antidote to the politics of hate. We combine first class research with community organising and grassroots actions to defeat hate groups and to build community resilience against extremism. Hate is often the consequence of a loss of hope and an articulation of despair, but given an alternative, especially one that understands and addresses their anger, most people will choose HOPE over hate. Our job is to expose and undermine groups that preach hate, intolerance and division whilst uniting communities around what they have in common. We aim to take a part in building a society that celebrates rather than scapegoats our differences.
We raise funds for medical equipment at Basingstoke & North Hampshire Hospital that can help save lives or make treatment and recovery more certain and less painful. Thanks to the generosity and fundraising activities of our local community, we are able to support our hospital in offering the best possible treatment, diagnosis and care to the people of North Hampshire. Please support our Pinpoint Appeal – providing the latest equipment to treat cancer We have launched our Pinpoint Appeal to raise £450,000 for an advanced Radiotherapy Planning CT scanner. This technology enables radiotherapy to be delivered with pinpoint accuracy, significantly reducing side effects, minimising damage to healthy tissues and enabling cancer patients to recover sooner from their treatment. The scanner will be installed in a new Radiotherapy Unit at Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital that is due to open early in 2014. This facility will make a huge difference to hundreds of cancer sufferers. It means they will no longer have to face long and debilitating journeys over a period of many weeks to receive treatment at a centre much further away. Only £46,000 to go .............. We have already raised £404,000 towards this equipment - please help us to raise the extra funds needed so we can reach our Appeal target. We rely on the voluntary contributions and the fundraising activities of people like you. Please support our Pinpoint Appeal by making a donation today, or start fundraising for us by setting up your own fundraising page here. Thank You
