(UK, 1060181) The Dancing Eye Syndrome Support Group was formed in 1988 with the principal aim of providing a link for parents of children with D.E.S. both locally and nationally. The Dancing Eye Syndrome Trust provides support and information to families of children with Dancing Eye Syndrome. The Dancing Eye Syndrome Support Group became a trust in 1997, giving parents who may feel isolated an opportunity to talk to others who are in the same situation as themselves and who may have already experienced similar problems. In this way members can provide mutual support and encouragement to parents whose children have been recently diagnosed. The trust arranges meetings for members and produces a newsletter containing information and ideas which could be useful for families.

Who is Murrays Muscles?Our son Murray was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2005. Since then, along with family and special friends we have formed a charity, based in Worcestershire aimed at benefiting patients suffering from muscular dystrophy and related diseases across the West Midlands Region. What do we do? We work on several levels aiming to relieve sickness, preserve and protect the health of patients within our patient group by: We help to lead the fight against muscle disease in the UK.

The Foundation has wide powers to promote the advancement of charitable purposes, continuing the Company’s long tradition of charitable giving. Since its establishment in 1977 the Foundation has made grants to charitable organisations totalling £82 million. The Foundation currently distributes an average of £5 million per year. Through its charitable funding the Foundation aims to improve the quality of life of people and communities facing disadvantage. The majority of funding is awarded under one our five main programme areas: Encouragement of Young People; Social Inclusion; Elderly; Disability and Visual Impairment. Although it is an endowed trust, the Foundation receives funds from its members (Liverymen) to augment its charitable giving. The funds generated are distributed via the Livery Fund, a sub fund of the Foundation. In 2009, the Livery Fund made grants totalling £56,000 to charities involved with eating disorders, the provision of breaks for disadvantaged children and respite for carers. The categories chosen to receive support from the Livery Fund change each year.

The Autism Organisation Zimbabwe is a registered Private Voluntary Organisation (Registration No 33/11) in Zimbabwe. It's primary aim is the rehabilitation of children living with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Zimbabwe Brain Tumour Association is a registered Welfare Organisation, (PVO 26/2005) established in 2005 to raise awareness and to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumours in Zimbabwe. The Epilepsy Support Foundation Zimbabwe is a registered Welfare Organisation, established in April 1990 to promote and support people with epilepsy in Zimbabwe. It focuses on early detection, diagnosis, counselling, treatment and rehabilitation of people with epilepsy. The Children's Heart Foundation of Zimbabwe is a Charitable Trust that aims to assist in the treatment of children born in Zimbabwe with heart defects. Unfortunately there are currently no facilities in Zimbabwe for cardiac surgery for children and therefore they have to be sent out of the country for this essential treatment. The Zimbabwe Haemophilia Association is involved in the education of medical personnel and patients as well as sourcing and supply of the factor concentrates that need to be imported into Zimbabwe, making treatment difficult for many haemophiliacs.
