SCM Basics Bank operates from 6 venues across Southampton. Our part-time Supervisor works alongside teams of dedicated volunteers to help people from a wide range of backgrounds who find themselves in a crisis. Clients are referred to us by referral agents (e.g. health visitors, social services, other charities) and receive 5 days of food and/or a voucher for clothes depending on their needs. Clients are welcomed with a cuppa and friendly chat whilst their food parcel is prepared. We hold information on other support services so that we can direct clients towards further help.SCM Schools delivers regular assemblies and whole R.E. days in 40 schools in and around Southampton.Through R.E. days we support schools in delivering the Christian elements of the R.E. curriculum. We work in line with their planning to put together a day of teaching and activities centred around the current theme.
