Seeing a lamb being born, finding a tadpole in the pond or walking across the middle of a 25 acre field of wheat are special experiences for many children, enabling them to learn, just as much as spending a day measuring the flow and depth of the River Pang, or discovering the effect of soil type on plant growth. The John Simonds Trust is designed to welcome people to Rushall Farm, and to teach about the countryside. The educational charity was set up over 25 years ago to enable people to enjoy the countryside at Rushall Farm, and to learn about farming. FINANCIAL NEEDSouth Street Baptist Church has a heart for people and expresses God’s love by providing relevant services that benefit our community in Greenwich and beyond. Our current financial priority is to raise £350,000 for the installation of stepped and ramped access to front and side of Church. This will include a disabled toilet, lift and facilities to aid the mobility of elderly and families with young children into and within the building. We aim to get all the works completed by autumn 2016. With Step-free access, we will be able to extend our services mentioned above and more to everyone safely. The church is currently committed to raise £70,000 from our members. However, we will need the support of a wider community to be able to undertake this project.
