Underlying everything we do are our core values of:- ACCEPTING people as they are SUPPORTING those ready to move to a more independent life INCLUDING people in society by the provision of ongoing care for those who are not ready, or whose life experiences have left them unable to live independent of support. Above Us Only Sky? is a Christian charity which was started out of a need to try to find immediate solutions for those who are living rough on the streets. For many homeless people there is no other option and the conditions that they face are bleak. Above Us Only Sky? provides life-saving, military-style, all weather sleeping bags, capable of keeping someone warm and dry whatever the conditions may be. However, the sleeping bag is just the start; we offer support in other ways too, meeting not just their physical but also their spiritual needs, to show them God’s love and to treat them with respect and dignity. Many homeless people who have received an Above Us Only Sky? sleeping bag attest to the fact that it saved their life and restored their sanity. YTD Raised: £488.00

Our aim is to help orphaned children by providing a home, family, care and education. We are based in both Jersey and Kenya, with our first recently built home just beyond the outskirts of Nairobi. We believe education is the key to self-sufficiency. That is why we place such a strong emphasis on educating the children. Without such emphasis, any assistance would simply be a band aid solution and not fix the long-term problems affecting these areas. We help our children reach new heights by inspiring them to develop the desire and capacity to break the cycle of poverty and to become the best that they can be. It is our goal to develop future leaders among these children so that one day they can help make their country self-sufficient. We must obtain on-going funding for the maintenance of the children and future paid staff. We started with just three children and volunteer helpers. Please help us help more.
