(UK, Big House - N/A) Big House is London's first residential facility to help the long-term homeless break away from street life. It is the result of 3 years work (1999-2002) by agency staff, clients and friends. They converted the property (56 Camberwell Rd, SE5) into self-contained accommodation for ten residents with communal social and educational areas. Since the official opening by The Prince of Wales in 2002, 36 people have successfully 'exited the streets'. 10 are current residents and 26 have progressed into independent tenancy.

To date 84 new houses have been built, with 32 more under construction. Those remaining in the camp live in tiny tin huts with asbestos roofs. Please help them!

A variety of opportunities for young people designed to inspire and develop them through activity programmes and safe places to be. Community development opportunities for people of all ages to develop through different training and community facilities, enabling them to make a positive impact in their local communities and their own lives. Our vision is for "A world where everyone is valued and achieves their potential".
