Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. We are the Friends of Chernobyl's Children Northallerton. As a local, independent charity our aim is to bring around a dozen children to the local area to stay with host families for a month's respite care from the radiation which encompasses their daily lives. The children we bring are from socially deprived homes in the Mogilev area of southern Belarus and their lives and those of their families have been affected by the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster. The children come to North Yorkshire for a month of love and care each year for four years, arriving in the UK with nothing, but each returning home with a suitcase full of clothing, toys, vitamins and gifts for their families to help them until they return to us the following year.On the 26th April this year it will be 30 years since the Chernobyl disaster. Please help us to turn '30 into £3,000' by donating today. Thank you.
