Our team who specialise in Crisis Intervention, use specialised negotiation techniques to intervene with despondent people on the cliff edge. Using a combination of proactive patrols and response teams, in 2012 we responded to 771 searches resulting in the rescue of 305 despondent people.
We cover the area between Loch Maree in the north and Loch Carron in the south, and from Applecross in the West to Achnasheen in the East. This includes some of the most spectacular mountains in Scotland - with Liathach, Beinn Eighe and Beinn Alligin being especially popular.
Aryana Aid is a volunteer led charity working to improve the lives of orphan children ordinary men and women in Afghanistan. our volunteers are drawn from a diverse range of backgrounds including IT, the law, media and business. we work with the local Afghan community to deliver emergency aid and long term sustainability through our orphan sponsorship, widow skills training, and water and wheelchair project. Since launching in 2009, we've used 100% of the donations collected by our head office in London to fund the initiatives led by volunteers, at our satellite office in Afghanistan The name Aryana was chosen after we decided we should expand our help into neighbouring countries like Pakistan, who were just as poverty stricken as those in Afghanistan, and we wanted our charity to represent all of these countries as a unity. Aryana was the name used for the countries of Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan, which made up the Persian kingdom. Aryana Aid is a good united team of volunteers who put their heart and soul into helping to relieve poverty, bringing hope and happiness into the lives of those who had nothing to keep them going, by working together to build orphanages, water pumps, as well as distributing food, clothes and basic necessities. We are also now able to help out in emergency situations such as natural disasters quickly and efficiently, so that damage is kept to a minimum.

A small charity entirely of volunteers that are called out around 30 times a year by the Police or Ambulance service, providing a Search and Rescue, including swiftwater rescue resource, for the lost, missing, injured and vulnerable not just on Dartmoor, but across Devon including urban areas like Newton Abbot, Torquay and Exeter. Our members train in all weathers and have qualifications in all aspects of search and rescue, including advanced casualty care, rope rescue, swiftwater rescue, navigation and crime scene procedures. It costs over £15,000 a year to keep the team running, providing our service free of charge to our local community. Our 60 unpaid volunteers are on call 24/7, 365 days a year, and volunteer for the team in addition to their day jobs. In addition to callouts, they also train weekly throughout the year and give up more of their spare time to fundraise as 92% of our funding is by public donation. Your support is very much appreciated. Thank you

Mount Ventoux Challenge successfully completed! On June 24th, the Inside Out team took on Mount Ventoux by cycling up the mountain not just once but three times in 24 hours. Take a look at our photo gallery to see the pain on the face of Inside Out's chair, Patrick Foster.Patrick was joined by fellow St Andrew's alumni Mike Preston and Henning Goranson Sandberg on a hot and steamy day. Starting at first light it took until near darkness to complete the challenge of cycling up over 13,000 vertical feet. No surprise that this iconic mountain is the ultimate test for cyclists in the Tour de France. Special thanks to Barrie and Sue Clarke, our team coaches, who provided technical expertise, moral support and jelly beans. And to the full support team of WAGs who drove up and down the mountain all day with water and energy supplies.Inside OutInside Out works towards building relationships with prisoners to support their successful return to the community. The charity has no external financial support; the vast majority of the work is carried out by volunteers. Our aim is to raise the £60,000 needed to run the charity each year.
