In additions to locating kids with potential talent for the game, the aim is to provide new interests in life for the children and to improve their levels of concentration and self confidence. Give it your Max centres have been set up in Reading, Canterbury (East Kent), Peckham and Birmingham. An annual contribution to coaching at the Harris Academy, Merton is also made. Approximately £15,000 p.a. is spent at each centre. Rachel Barnett was introduced to tennis during a GIYM session at Churchend Primary School, Tilehurst, Reading in 2008.
