We have even changed our charitable constitution to allow us to have 16 year olds as trustees to give them experience. And we operate a Youth Council of 11 - 18 year olds who act as a young players union as well as producing the clubs newsletter. Yes our activities are based around football, but what better vehicle to get them involved?

(UK, 1109636) The Bucks Youth Cricket Trust is a registered charity which exists to support the development of youth cricket in Bucks by the tax efficient accumulation and distribution of funds to Clubs and other organisations having a demonstrable need for financial support. The Trust supports projects that exhibit the potential to improve junior cricket in the County, or young cricketers who would benefit from funding assistance to enable them to take up development opportunities. All applications made to the Trust are considered with great care by the Trustees who endeavour to ensure that the greatest possible benefits are secured from the available funding. Allocations are made in accordance with the Trust’s Charitable Objects as set out in the Trust Deed.
The 1066 Specials Disability Football Club

YTD Raised: £0.00The 1066 Specials were formed in 2003 to provide football opportunities to young people with special needs. Over that period, approximately 250 young people have enjoyed the 1066 Specials experience, and today there are approximately a hundred registered players at the club, which makes the Specials the largest independent community ‘Special Needs’ football club in Sussex. The 1066 Specials is an FA Chartered Club which is a kite mark that the Football Association awards to Clubs that are well run and sustainable, which place child protection, quality coaching and safety paramount. In 2013 the 1066 Specials were awarded the prestigious honour of the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, equivalent to the MBE for voluntary organisations. This most inspiring and aspiring of football clubs have four adult and two junior sides playing in the Sussex Disability League.

Starting with a small group of business people who work in the heart of the city and assisted by the local District Rotarians, 25 members joined Rotary as a Club in June 2009. In June 2013 we merged with Liverpool Rotary a club who celebrated its 100th year in 2013. The bringing together of the old and the new has been an amazing success and thanks to all our members enthusiasm it has created a club fit for the future, now known as City of Liverpool Rotary. Aware of the constraints on members' time, we adopt a somewhat less formal approach to meetings and attendances whilst aiming to fulfil the aims of our Club and of Rotary in general.
