(UK, 1146716) Browse eventsWirksworth Swimming Pool is a small 10 by 5 metre pool in the market town of Wirksworth, Derbyshire.Over the last three decades, the pool has been at the heart of the community, with thousands of young children learning to swim here, and hundreds of adults improving their general health and wellbeing in the warm waters and friendly atmosphere. Until recently, it was operated by the local authority, but when they were forced to review budgets, the pool’s future became uncertain. Thankfully, a group of eight local people came together to form a charitable company, which in April 2012, took over running the pool. As trustees, we all share a determination and enthusiasm to make this pool succeed. We want to continue to provide swimming and other water–based activities to the people of Wirksworth and surrounding areas, particularly young people, people with disabilities and older people. We want a welcoming, accessible and affordable venue for people to swim, to learn to swim and to take part in other activities that enhance their health and wellbeing. As a self-funding charity, we can only operate with the support of local people and kind donations from individuals and organisations. Please donate today, if you can, every penny counts. Many thanksWirksworth Swimming Pool Trustees

(UK, CASC03761) Browse eventsMacclesfield Cricket Club is currently in the process of finalising plans for the installation of an outdoor net facility at Victoria Road, which we would very much like to be able to install this summer, subject to funding. This will be a huge asset to the club and will be used by both juniors and seniors alike. However, as with all such installations, the facility comes at a high cost and we are unable to claim back VAT payable on the project. A 3 lane net facility will cost £47,000 inc VAT! A lot of background work has been carried out with regards suppliers, bases and surfaces, and it is for this reason we require your support towards this facility. Unfortunately because of our claim for funding on the new changing rooms we are unable to ask for more funding from the ECB or other such bodies, which is a big blow. We have now started to look at 2 lane facilities, but even this is £32,500 inc VAT- a sizeable amount of money. All donations are gratefully received and will be ringfenced for this vital development - we do have some money in our "pot" already, but not enough! Your support with this is very much appreciated.

Welcome to Hepworth United Football Club. First established in 1905, the club now has a large junior section, an open age ladies team and 2 open age mens teams. A new era for Hepworth United Football Club is coming....Hepworth United sold its clubhouse in the village of Hepworth that was their home for over 30 years to help fund a new clubhouse to be built on Hepworth's football field.Over the last 2 years there has been a lot of planning and hard work to allow for a new clubhouse to be built. Planning permission was approved for a new clubhouse in January 2015, sold the clubhouse in October 2015, gained FA Community Charter Standard in November 2015 and finally our application for funding from the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund was approved in March 2016.Although we have already achieved so much we still have some fundraising to do.
