Through our Young Leaders Award, we work to encourage school children to develop their life skills, confidence and community engagement through a series of volunteering activities with real benefit to their local area. We have seen how social barriers and prejudices are broken, as the perception of young people by their communities change and our hope is that we give each pupil who participates the ambition and the opportunity to achieve all that they can and that they will continue to "be the change they want to see" in their communities throughout their lives. Archie Lloyd's Charity

Archie Lloyd tragically died whilst travelling with friends after his A levels in the Summer of 2015. He was a highly motivated young man who made the most of his talents and was inspirational to younger boys at his school. His sunny demeanour and passion for all things sporty and his determination to be the best he could be. His legacy should reflect his personality and help other young people to make the most of their talents and to inspire others whose life opportunities may not be what we would all want. The charity will raise funds to support a series of programmes/awards that will provide an opportunity for young people with ability and drive who are both good citizens and role models to undergo coaching/training, to then use the skills learnt to motivate and inspire other young people. This may involve travel to enhance the experience of the selected candidates. Funding will also be provided to support mentors to help the candidates selected to become ambassadors for the Archie Lloyd Foundation. Areas of particular interest to Archie were all sports, outward bounds, politics, music, finance and academia. These areas will be of particular focus, (although not exclusive) for the Charitable Foundation’s Trustees in the selection of suitable recipients of any award. The Charitable Foundation will support direct programmes as funding allows, whilst also working with established charities that can support and further the charitable objectives.

Founded in 1967, New Horizon has always been motivated by concern for the number of young homeless people coming to the Kings Cross area and getting drawn into a damaging lifestyle. In particular, young people who are involved with the drugs and the sex industry are seen as targets for New Horizon's intervention. Typically they are suffering from emotional and mental and/or physical health problems and are at risk of offending. New Horizon takes a holistic approach in responding to the needs, interests and aspirations of each young person and its main aim is to provide a positive future for this disadvantaged group.

CVYP provides a diverse selection of activities and outdoor challenges, like canoeing, kayaking, hill walking, rock climbing, mountain biking and football. CVYP also operates the Duke of Edinburgh Awards, John Muir Awards, The Prince's Trust programme, Employment Skills, support and advice, to name but a few. Weekly sessions include; 2 Junior and Intermediate sessions that focuses on early intervention, music, arts and crafts, sport and recreation. A sexual health and information outlet. Young carers group that engages with a range of needs, Additional needs drop-in for seniors, and juniors, Junior and senior additional needs holiday programme that all offer multiple activity and accredited programmes. Preparing young people for adulthood, independent living and employment.
