(UK, 1082798W) Woking Hospice opened in 1996 to provide palliative care and support to patients and their families living with a life limiting illness in the Woking, Surrey Heath and North Guildford area. Woking Hospice aims to improve the lives of people whose illness may not be curable. We help people to live as actively as possible after diagnosis to the end of their lives, however long that may be. The highest value is put on respect and choice and support is also given to families and close friends, both during the illness and in bereavement. All care is provided for free and as a registered charity the Hospice relies on the support of the community to help fund their work.

We work with the community in Norwich to make later life rewarding through: providing timely advice and support, helping volunteers to really make a difference, supporting local groups to create social networks for older people and by lobbying and campaigning with older people themselves. All of these services are free and our 20 staff are strengthened by over 200 volunteers, so every pound we receive goes a long way. Any donation you can make will make a difference. We promise.

All these services are offered completely FREE of charge in an atmosphere of love, care and peace.

To assist cancer patients and their families and others affected by cancer or debilitating illnesses Jak wanted to create a cafe for neutropenic patients where they can eat in a sterile environment. Jak recognised the need for Family time in a specially adapted area for counselling, play or chilling out. To assist in the appreciation of music and drama and the development of children by this means. To assist in raising funds for other needs which Jak identified during his illness including indoor and outdoor sports activities for children of all ages We are privileged to have Neil Alexander, the Hearts Goalkeeper, as the Patron of Team Jak. We are working in partnership with Celtic Football Club to offer a match-day experience at Celtic Park to a range of children's groups and charities. We provide the tickets to allow your party (up to 52 children + 8 adult helpers) into the ground. You will be met by one of our volunteers and shown to your seats. The volunteer will be available throughout the match to help with any issues you may have. The only cost incurred by your group will be getting to the stadium. All trustees and volunteers give up their time for free, and work on a rota system to cover approx 2-3 games each per season. They have all completed full Disclosure Scotland checks.
