Friends of Serenity aims to preserve and protect the health of sick pregnant women and those who have suffered a miscarriage, stillbirth or neonatal death in particular but not exclusively by providing and assisting in the provision of facilities, Serenity Suites and equipment at East Lancashire Women and New Born Centre not normally provided by the statutory authorities. We work hard to support newly bereaved parents through the provision of memory boxes and miscarriage keepsakes. By dressing their babies we hope to make distressing and devastating time a little more comforting by taking the pressure off them. These are provided in East Lancashire and throughout the country on public requirement. Additionally, we strive to provide qualified information by any means appropriate on the 2nd most common chromosome disorder Trisomy 13.

The Mary Ann Evans Hospice is a very local charity providing special care to local people in Nuneaton, Bedworth and North Warwickshire who are living with a life limiting illness, mainly cancer.

Woking Hospice opened in 1996 to provide palliative care and support to patients and their families living with a life limiting illness in the Woking, Surrey Heath and North Guildford area. Woking Hospice aims to improve the lives of people whose illness may not be curable. The highest value is put on respect and choice and support is also given to families and close friends, both during the illness and in bereavement. All care is provided for free and as a registered charity the Hospice relies on the support of the community to help fund their work.
