Clowns Without Borders aims to improve the lives of children who live in areas of crisis including refugee camps, conflict zones and natural disaster. Through a combination of performances and workshops we enable "children to be children" and create moments of laughter and play when it is needed the most. In areas of crisis children are often the first group in any population to lose their rights; the right to be a child. We create opportunities for children (and communities) to play and relax. Our work doesn't stop there. We know the best way for children to understand anything is to make it fun and so we ensure our performances and workshops deliver and strengthen relevant messages regarding children’s social welfare, education, health and Human Rights.

Save Children in Africa in Need (SCAN) is a grass root organisation with on-going projects supporting education, health and social initiatives in rural villages in five African countries (Ghana, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Zimbabwe and Uganda). Our main purpose and mission is to bring relief from poverty to children in Africa who have suffered from the effects of war, disease and disability, by assisting to provide clothes, equipment, facilities and services that will go towards meeting some of their fundamental, basic & urgent needs. SCAN wishes to bring new life and hope to such children, by providing them with the very basic necessities of life to improve their chances of surviving childhood. SCAN currently runs four programmes: Schools Awareness Programme (Exposing severely deprived schools to new appropriate technology and teaching methods relevant in their environment), Schools Exchange Programme (To encourage cross-cultural diversification trough hands on interaction by student exchange, for example), Skills for Life (Skills Development Programme) and the Scholarship Programme (This is our core programme providing a doorway of opportunity out of the debilitating cycle of chronic poverty and it focuses on providing funds to educate children in Africa, especially girls who suffer disproportionately in society for historic cultural reasons). We believe that Children everywhere should be provided with adequate basic life enhancing facilities and resources such as health care, education and the basic necessities of clean water, food, clothing and shelter, irrespective of the environment they are born into so as to better prepare them for their future role and responsibilities as responsible adults in their respective countries. Your financial contribution, one off or monthly, right now, can help provide education, training, food, healthcare & much more. A child’s smile awaits that lifeline from you. Today, YOU can make a difference, a huge difference.
