We support local people in and around Wundanyi in the province of Taita, southern Kenya. We support four projects in Kenya: We also work in a number of UK schools in partnership with the Kenyan High Commission in London. Over the last 13 years we have built up close working relationships with many local people. We have enabled them to climb out of poverty, improve their income levels, gain IT qualifications, build a business, educate their kids, stay healthy. We aim to help people help themselves. Life in Kenya is much more precarious for most people than our lives are in the UK, but we have seen amazing examples of talent and determination leading to individual growth and success. Since 2003 we have raised over £100,000 and every penny has gone to help our Kenyan partners: with Education Exchange there are no admin costs or on-costs.

(UK, 1003279) Browse eventsEstablished in 1990, the Anne Frank Trust UK delivers education and training which promote and celebrate positive citizenship, human rights, equality and diversity. At the heart of our work is the story of Anne Frank whose diary holds universal appeal. Through its messages we are able to challenge prejudice and discrimination today, encouraging people of all ages and backgrounds to embrace positive attitudes, responsibility and respect for others. Every year our regional teams, operating across the UK, reach over 70,000 people. These teams deliver peer education and exhibition programmes in schools, colleges, prisons and in local communities. We target our work in areas where people are most likely to be exposed to intolerant and prejudiced attitudes. Anne Frank is a powerful role model for young people and adults alike. Her life and diary help us to reflect on attitudes of prejudice and discrimination. She encourages us to be proud of who we are and to respect others, regardless of background. All of the Trust’s education and training services promote greater harmony and understanding across the diverse ethnic and religious communities which make up 21st century Britain.
