We currently provide a range of advice, volunteer, capacity building and strategic services to progress equality in Scotland. The main aim of the programme is to work through the women to empower them and to enable them to end the cycle of Street life for their children. Funds raised will go directly to the WIN Playhouse a kindergarten and pre-school for homeless boys and girls aged 2-7 years. More information can be found on the website www.cwd.org.za. Friends of Warmth (a South African charity registered in Britain) have kindly agreed to channel the funds to WIN on our behalf.

Working with plants, seeing things grow, and getting out into the fresh air gives the chance of regular physical exercise, stimulation of the senses, and improves well-being. Joining in with other people and sharing a common interest can build sociability, and reduce loneliness for people living in isolation. In 2013, the charity received a Queen's Award for Voluntary Service for its exemplary contribution to improving the lives of people with complex needs.
