Millions also don't have access to the information that they desperately need to make informed decisions about their lives. At Panos London we believe that whether the problem is HIV and AIDS, climate change, civil conflict or poverty, poor people in developing countries have a right to know about, debate and have a say in decisions that affect their lives. Panos London is part of the worldwide Panos Network of independent institutes working to promote the active participation of poor and marginalised people in finding solutions to the problems they face, through media and communication projects. Our work helps to ensure that people in developing countries are included in decision-making processes and have access to the information they need to improve their lives.

The aim of this project is to encourage the development of young children and babies with complex needs and physical delay. Our Early Years keyworker offers support to families with pre school complex needs children, helping co-ordinate the many appointments with professionals necessary, signposting for other sources of help and advice while liaising with the other professionals that are working with the family to encourage a less stressful and more seamless service. We are working with the local authority to test new government plans for the assessing and providing for the health, care and education needs of disabled children in Bexley. Our Pathfinder worker is responsible for helping families with this new process and reporting any successes or difficulties.
