Fledglings is a national charity that finds and sells products that improve the lives of disabled children and their families. We understand that life with a disabled child can be challenging, and we help by providing practical products that address everyday problems faced by disabled children.
Newbury Riding for the Disabled is based at Hampstead Norreys and is dedicated to improving the lives of local children with disabilities through riding. The physical therapy provided by riding helps children to grow in confidence and independence while benefiting their health and general well being. Riding offers an opportunity for enjoyment, challenge, laughter, achievement, independence and confidence. Newbury RDA is entirely self funding and relies upon Volunteer Helpers to run the riding sessions, maintain the property and raise the £50,000 per annum needed to cover our running costs. The Horse Rangers Association (Hampton Court) provides young people with an opportunity to achieve personal development and independence in an extraordinary way. It is registered charity that enables its members, both able-bodied and those with special needs, to become involved in horsemanship at an affordable cost. As well as developing the skills needed to ride and look after horses, its members learn the importance of teamwork, integrity, loyalty, honour and trust. In total, the Horse Rangers Association has over 400 members aged eight and above. It receives no grants from central government and costs over £400,000 a year to run the organisation and care for all its horses and children. All of its officers and instructors are unpaid volunteers. They are CRB checked and trained in health and safety issues and qualified in first aid. Bhola's Children supports a home and a school for orphaned and disabled children on the island of Bhola in the Bay of Bengal, Southern Bangladesh. There are currently around 50 children with every kind of disability living in the home. The charity is now fundraising for a building to accommodate wood and metal workshops, in order to give further training to the disabled students.

PACE (Play, Adventures and Community Enrichment) is a voluntary organisation that was founded by a group of parents, childcare and play work professionals who came together to start a social enterprise. PACE came into being with the specific aim of developing inclusive, high quality play and childcare services and to support the parents of disabled children into work and training. We now manage a range of inclusive play settings in the London Borough of Camden delivering childcare for 2 and 3 year olds, after school and holiday play provision for children aged 4-12 years, as well as overnight short breaks and mentoring services for children aged 5-14 years. PACE work with children with a range of different needs and abilities from a range of backgrounds, and believe that this diversity enriches friendship and play opportunities.

We do this by providing a monthly fun club as well as day trips throughout the year. Our main aim is to facilitate deaf children socialising with hearing and deaf children as well as providing support and sharing knowledge with parents.
Our small and friendly preschool offers care and education given by a team of professional and dedicated staff and our children are aged between 2 years and 4 years 11 months. We work in close partnership with parents to help children learn, develop their abilities and make friends in preparation for starting Reception year at school. We support families in our local Southampton community and offer their children a service which promotes equality and values diversity. Our motto is 'Nurture, play and progress'.
