The Purple Community Fund (PCF) is a UK based charity that aims to bring education, health and new work skills to the poorest communities both in the UK, the Philippines and around the world; thereby tackling the issues that trap families in a never-ending poverty cycle. We are developing new projects in the UK, similar to the Philippine social enterprise project that we started in 2008. We taught parents how to make beautiful handmade products using recycled materials. In the UK we will be diverting corporate waste from landfill and teaching disadvantaged people how to make bags for life, rain hats and ponchos and well as expanding our signature ringpull products. The profits from the sale of these items will be used to fund work in the Philippines and UK. Charity No: 1158729

More than 60 dedicated staff and volunteers work hard to address health, inequalities, educational needs, employability, reduce antisocial behaviour and much more. Annually WCT reach 25,000 local residents through projects spanning all age, gender, socio-economic and ethnicity demographics working with a range of local and national partners to tackle key local issues. Over 4,000 participants are engaged in sports programmes alone, with over 85 weekly sessions being delivered within our communities. A total of 104 schools were engaged in Wolves Community Trust activities during the 13/14 academic year, engaging 13,935 school children. Wolves Aid is unique within football, distributing grants to small charities and organisations based locally. To date, £750,000 has been donated since 2008, supporting over 125 local good causes.

YTD Raised: £348.00We are a small charity active in three villages in Surrey (Tadworth, Walton and Kingswood) that provides support to a number of overseas aid projects that have some direct connection to this locality. Typically this might mean that someone, who has friends or relatives in Tadworth and is now working in the developing world, identifies opportunities for us to fund improvements to the lives of some of the poorest people on the planet. We find that relatively small sums of money can make a huge difference, thus by providing under £1000 we helped a community of some 6,000 people in Africa to gain access to clean water. We pay the annual wage costs of £300 pa for an agricultural advisor improving crop yields in a remote area of Malawi, and we pay the £1,000 annual salary for a village school teacher in Nepal, one of the poorest nations on earth. You can see details of all the projects we currently support in the main body of our web site. The sums of money provided by TWOAT are of course tiny in comparison to the large charities but you can be sure that any money you donate to us will go to the overseas projects that we support with no deduction for any costs of administering TWOAT and with a clear idea of how the money will be spent.
