Accountability is normally through the local church, and to the Nursing and Midwifery Council. Parish Nursing operates in consultation with other health providers and projects are locally funded. Professional skill, care and compassion are qualities a Parish Nurse brings as part of a ministry team, for the benefit of that team and church, and for its community. The collaborative ministry includes training and co-ordinating of volunteers to participate in the church’s care for its local community.
