We want to add to the absolute numbers of healthcare workers in training, in order that there are more graduates in countries with critical shortages. We aim to increase the numbers of doctors working in rural areas, so that everyone has equal access to healthcare. We want to increase the number of women training as health workers, in order that more women have entry to better paid, stable employment. Through mentorship, teaching and exchange programmes, we hope to raise awareness of the different conditions facing colleagues worldwide and an appreciation of the global health community.

We were formed for one purpose, to provide essential equipment to help improve the quality of life for children with disabilities and special needs irrespective of race or creed. We actively help children up to the age of 18 throughout the United Kingdom. Schools, childrens hospices, respite care homes and support centres also receive our help with many specialised items including adapted playground equipment, soft play and multi-sensory rooms. For the individual child we provide the full spectrum of specialised equipment such as electric wheelchairs, mobility aids, special beds and a variety of items including communication aids and specialised computers. We are also one of the only UK charities prepared to help a special needs child from a low-income family with essential smaller items such as shoes, clothing, bedding and specialist toys.
