Shallowford Farm has been working with Providence House in Battersea, London for 40 years bringing young people and their families to a small Dartmoor Hill Farm. They enjoy a huge range of experiences on this small mixed farm and on the hills of the open moor, opening their eyes to the world beyond the city. Shallowford farm enables young people to have a greater awareness of themselves, a heightened sense of curiosity and imagination that in turn generates new ideas and ambitions.

Our Staff campaign for Sept 2013 - Aug 2014 Virgin Atlantic’s active sustainability program, ‘Change is in the Air’ focuses on both environmental and social justice issues. We`re passionate about supporting sustainable community development in local communities both in the UK and in our global destinations and we’re extremely proud to be working with Free The Children to support long-term sustainable change in our destinations. 50/50 appeal 50/50 is all about you choosing the charities you’d like to support. It’s up to you how you’d like the money from your chosen fundraising activity to be distributed. It can be split as follows: 1. 50/50 (50% to the registered charity of your choice and 50% to our charity Free The Children) or 2. 100% of the donations to go to Free The Children. For online donationsFor option 1, create your online sponsorship page and instead of choosing for funds to go only to FTC on our ‘staff campaign’ page you would also select the charity of your choice. For option 2, you’d simply just select FTC. Automated payments would then be generated to the relevant charities. If you have any questions about the ‘50/50 Initiative’ please contact us at: [email protected] How can I get involved?During the year there will be lots of fundraising activities to get involved in so keep your eyes peeled but you don’t need to wait for us to get going. Be inspired and have a think about what you could do – from cake bakes to bring and buy sales to sponsored swims – anything goes. It only takes a few moments to set up your very own personalised fundraising page on the Virgin Money Giving website, making it easy for your friends and family to sponsor you. There will be opportunities for you to go and meet the families in India and get to know them. If you would like to get involved please email: [email protected]
