(UK, 1161092) Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. The Pod was set up in 2013 by Parents of children with additional needs in Mendip. We are now a registered charity and our aims are to meet the needs of disadvantaged young people and their families. The Pod Youth Club opened in 2013 and provides a fully staffed leisure opportunity for disabled children. The Zone opened in 2015 and welcomes young carers who benefit from chilling out and having fun with other children who are in the same boat! The Children and Young People that access The Pod Youth Club and The Zone are encouraged to take part in activities and learn new skills whilst also having the freedom to hang out and relax in a safe, supportive and friendly environment. Activities are led by the Young People that come to our clubs with the help of experienced youth work teams who have the skills to enable our members to reach their full potential.The Pod recognises the families that access our clubs are often vulnerable and isolated and we provide opportunities for them to get involved in community events.
