Burntisland Playgroup has been opened since 1976,with 24 children aged from three to four attend five sessions a week. The group is in partnership with Fife Council Education following the Curriculum for Excellence. Burntisland Playgroup is a registered charity based in our local community centre. We provide high quality care and education for pre school children in Burntisland and the surrounding areas. Although we are in partnership with the local council and receive some funding for eligible children, this barely covers wages and rent, so we rely heavily on fundraising and donations to provide us with any day to day resources and activities required. We have a management committee elected from the parents/carers of the children that attend our group, who tirelessly try to raise enough funds to provide their children with quality resources and activities throughout their time at playgroup. Burntisland Playgroup could not survive without the generosity of the many individuals who support our fundraising events and the companies who donate money for specific items/activities. We are always grateful for any donations to make our work possible.
