Bayford Mission Hall Society is set up to preserve and utilise the Bayford Hall for the benefit of the community. The Bayford Mission Hall Society was set up in July 2015 as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) to purchase, renovate and maintain this small Hall in Bayford, Somerset for the benefit of the community in Bayford & Stoke Trister and surrounding areas. The Hall was gifted to Bayford Community in the 19th Century by a resident. Over the years it has been in Trust with the Bath & Wells Diocese. However, last year the Diocese decided it was non-viable to continue to maintain the chapel as it required major renovations & repairs. The community overwhelmingly decided it should be purchased & owned by them and the Bayford Mission Hall Society was born. Since then, we have fund raised with various local events & grants from local organisations to enable us to purchase the building. We continue to fundraise to facilitate the repairs & renovations required to make the Hall safe and user-friendly for everyone including providing disabled access. Please donate to support our cause. Thank you for visiting our profile page on MyDonate. Not Home Alone helps battle isolation by supporting those aged 65 and over living on their own in Northern Lincolnshire with no family in the area. “Helping to make life a little happier for our local senior citizens living on their own”Not Home Alone was formed in February 2014 by four peoplewanting to make a difference to those 65 and over who live in Northern Lincolnshire and spend Christmas Day, which can be the loneliest time of the year, on their own. This year, due to wonderful feedback from guests and amazing support from the community, it is hoped to arrange more events so those who are lonely can join together for good food, great company and friendship. A massive thank you to our supporters, without whom we would not be able to host these events and be able to make a difference to those lonely and isolated in the community. Enormous thanks also to our volunteers who are invaluable in helping our guest enjoy their day. Finally no-one receive payment; every penny raised is spent on helping our guests enjoy their time with us.
