The West Midlands CARE Team is a group of volunteer doctors and nurses who provide advanced pre-hospital medical care to seriously injured and critically unwell patients across the West Midlands. We bring a highly skilled medical team to the patient, capable of providing life saving interventions at the roadside. The CARE Team looks after critically ill patients including those severely injured in car crashes, industrial incidents, shootings and stabbings, through to adult and child cardiac arrests and those others with serious medical problems, such as heart attacks, fits, and breathing problems. Working alongside the West Midlands Ambulance Service, the CARE Team aims to deliver hospital care at the scene of the incident.  By bringing our additional skills, equipment, drugs and surgical procedures to the patient we aim to save lives and improve patients’ outcomes.

During the 2010/11 financial year Birmingham Mind supported over 1700 individuals experiencing mental distress. All our services are carefully vetted by our own robust monitoring arrangements or external verification. We are pleased that a number of our residential services are rated as excellent by CQC (Care Quality Commission), we have achieved the top standard awarded by National Mind, and have gained PQASSO level one. We are proud of our committed staff and have a number of external awards to prove that we deliver high quality support and are a good employer. The organization also has achieved awards for how we invest in our staff’s training and development. We have held the Investors in People Award for over 10 years and we are signed up to the Mindful Employer scheme. St Luke's Radiation Onocology comprises of three oncology centres - St Luke's Hospital at Rathgar, St Luke's Radiation Oncology Centre at Beaumont Hospital and St Luke's Radiation Oncology Centre at St Jame's Hospital. The Friends of St Luke’s relies entirely on voluntary contributions and fundraising events organised by our patients, families and friends. St Luke’s is regarded as more than a health care institution. It has set the standards in radiation oncology and is a world-class centre for the delivery of radiotherapy.
