The Cerebral Palsy Education Centre (CPEC) specialises in programs for babies and children with Cerebral Palsy and is the only one of its type in Australia. The therapists and programs are recognised around the world as some of the most successful at giving children with CP the chance to live their lives as independently as they are capable of.
Wembley Downs Primary school has close to 400 students from kindy through to year 7. We are currently fundraising to develop our Nature Play classrooms and playground areas.
Bristol Mind aims to promote mental health and reduce stigma. Services include: advocacy services; Mindline, free phone, out-of-hours, listening support; phone and web site information; a service evaluation project and a Training Project offering mental health promotion courses. The organisation also supports self-help and user groups.
The OHCT gives grants to Oxfordshire churches of all Christian denominations for major fabric repairs (walls, roofs, floors and windows). If there is money to spare bells, organs, clocks, new toilets and kitchens may get grants. The annual Ride and Stride is a major source of income for the OHCT.
Since 1989 St. Francis Hospice has provided a service of specialist palliative care to people in North Dublin in advanced stages of cancer, motor neuron disease and HIV/AIDS, as well as support for their families and friends. There are no charges for services provided by St. Francis Hospice.The service is based on a Christian philosophy, which recognises the need to treat each person with dignity, respect and compassion, irrespective of their cultural or religious background. Our current range of services within the Community includes specialist palliative care, Hospice Day Care, Out-Patient Clinics, our 19 bed In-patient Unit and Bereavement Support services.
