They are orphaned or abandoned, and often the victims of horrible abuse. We give them shelter, care, education and security. We also run projects to help the wider community in Gilgil, providing employment, opportunity and self-respect for local people.Our UK trust is run by volunteers, so every penny you give goes directly to help the children who need it so much. YTD Raised: $11,087.86Youthlaw is a free community legal centre for young people under 25. Every year we assist over 2000 young people. They are the most vulnerable in the community, facing homelessness and family breakdown and associated mental health, substance abuse and legal problems. We work closely with other services to support and assist them. We also advocate for systemic change to ensure that all young people are treated fairly and justly. We operate our service across Victoria on a small budget using innovative low cost means such as Skype and utilising our enthusiastic and dynamic team of staff and volunteers. With your support, we can continue to: • Provide free, high-quality legal advice, information and representation • Develop and deliver innovative legal education and training • Run test cases • Advocate and campaign about issues such as no young people locked up in adult prisons, a smart diversion system, a better infringements system and fairer outcomes for young people
