CareFlight has grown to meet the ever-increasing demand for aero-medical services and now comprises a fleet of eight community rescue helicopters based on the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Sunshine Coast and Bundaberg. CareFlight offers one of the only lifelines to families living in rural and regional areas, often located many hours away from the states major hospitals. CareFlight Rescue is an integral link in the lifesaving chain of survival and our dedicated medical teams are usually tasked to four types of missions; primary rescues at the scene of accidents, inter-hospital transfers, neonatal retrievals and search and rescue operations.
