Founded in 1855, Hampton Hill Cricket Club is at the core of the local community, fielding adult and junior teams and encouraging youngsters to take up the sport. New Life Foundation India supports a children's home and school set up for orphaned and abandoned children in Katikund, North East India, both financially and practically. 100% of funds received from Virgin Giving will go directly to the home and school. The charity aims to help break the cycle of poverty for these children by providing them not only with a home, food, clothing and care, but also with an English medium education and life skills to enable them to have a brighter future. The school is also giving an education to local village children from this poor rural area. The long term aim is to help the home and school to become self sufficient.
As part of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board charities The Ron Smith Cancer Appeal supports the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre and raises money for equipment, training etc. All appeal workers, both lay and medical, are entirely unpaid volunteers. Every penny raised helps directly.
