(UK, 1132824) Browse eventsThe Community Heartbeat Trust helps communities undertake defibrillator projects taking into account the needs for the right equipment, the right support, the right adherence to liabilities and governance, community awareness and training programmes, and help with the fund raising and long term support for these projects. As the leading community defibrillator charity in the UK, we have become recognised by ambulance services, councils, community groups and sports governing bodies as the 'gold standard', having set many of the standards now being adopted by other organisations. We live, breath and are hugely passionate about community defibrillation in all its forms, and seek always to offer a holistic and objective advice to communities. We believe a defibrillator is for LIFE and not just for Christmas, and these medical devices should be available to save lives. But they are just that, a medical device, and must be treated with respect. A good project is not about just a defibrillator in the community, but one that forms part of a resilient process, addressing needs, and fully backed by Governance. www.communityheartbeat.org.uk
