They often help the families, friends and communities still living in those wars - by running human rights campaigns, encouraging the Australian government to protect civilians and provide aid, or by building schools, women's health centres, or running conflict resolution programs. The Humanitarian Crisis Hub supports this vital work by providing training and mentoring, and by facilitating linkages with relevant people or organisations who are interested in helping with their projects. Diaspora Action Australia has recently been awarded the 2011 ACFID Sir Ron Wilson Human Rights award, for outstanding contribution to advancing human rights in the international development sector. Diaspora Action Australia is based in Melbourne and relies strongly on volunteer support. Thank you for your support - your sponsorship will be put to good use!
Norton St Philip School PTFA raises funds to support and enrich the life of the school. Our school is a small rural first school set in the rolling hills of Somerset. We, the PTFA, are dedicated to raising money to support and enrich the life of the school. One of our current priorities is the purchase of more resources for our Forest School. This will provide the school (and the wider community) with an even better outdoor learning space. We are fortunate to already have wonderful willow structures, a seating area, a fire pit and planting areas. Now we need somewhere to provide a little shelter on colder days, additional learning resources and storage for our outdoor equipment.
