YTD Raised: n/aaims to provide every child in our region with a nutritious start to the day. Healthy Together Mildura launched the program in 2013 with the support of Foodbank Australia. Initially, 8 schools registered in response to a growing awareness that students were frequently going to school without eating breakfast. The Partnership has grown over the past 3 years to include 13 schools and 4 kindergartens across the region. The Partnership adopts a coordinated and collaborative approach to breakfast programs in the region. Schools jointly contribute to, and share from, a central pool of funds which alleviates the financial burden on individual school budgets. Schools engaged in the partnership also support each other by sharing information, ideas and insights into getting the most out of the program. This approach ensures all schools have the same opportunity to host a breakfast program, eliminates competition between schools for funds, provides practical locally relevant advice, and encourages whole of community support for the Partnership. support cancer patients and their families from the Sunraysia Mallee region. The organisation aims to make the cancer journey easier for patients and their families by providing support and information, and facilitating access to services for those experiencing physical, emotional and financial difficulties.
