The Swiss Church is a Christian congregation, in the protestant tradition, that offers people opportunities to meet and worship together, support each other and discuss important life questions. Its distinguished 19th century building in London's Covent Garden is in need of renovation. When complete it will continue to be a place of worship and will also contain a centre for cultural activities. All the money raised by London Marathon runners will directly go to the renovation funds.

(UK, 1080334) Relate North East help people with relationship problems - we offer relationship counselling for couples or individuals, family counselling, young people's counselling and sex therapy. We are an independent charity and we recieve no funding from either Central Government or local authorities so we have to ask clients to pay for the service they recieve from us. We do have some small support from other charities eg Northern Rock Foundation but the number of sessions we can deliver are limited. All of the money raised via VirginMoneyGiving is used to help us offer affordable counselling sessions to clients who cannot afford the full amount of cousnelling - it costs Relate North East £50 to offer every counselling session and all of the money we raise helps us to reduce the amount we have to ask clients to contribute.
