Mates in Mind is a is a registered charity that provides a framework for the UK construction industry to raise awareness and address the stigma of poor mental health and improve positive mental wellbeing. Mates in Mind helps to make sense of available options and support to employers in partnership with leading charities such as Mind and Samaritans. It is led by and for the industry in partnership with the Health in Construction Leadership Group and British Safety Council. Mates in Mind aims to reach 100,000 construction workers in its first year, by September 2018. By 2025, Mates in Mind is seeking to reach 75% of the construction industry.
The Defence Bank Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit charity established by Defence Bank specifically to raise funds to help injured, wounded and disadvantaged current and ex-serving Army, Navy and Air Force members and their families. Our major beneficiary is The Young Diggers Dog Squad. The Young Diggers Dog Squad is a unique program which trains rescued dogs to become nationally recognised Assistance Dogs to support injured and disabled serving and ex-serving Australian Defence Force (ADF) members. Throughout this program, Young Diggers provide help and practical support to enhance the quality of life for both the dog and their new owner.
