Copacabana Primary School P&C works to support teachers and parents of the school in a variety of ways. We provide much needed funds to help the school invest in upgrades to equipment such as laptops, air conditioning, books, ipads, smartscreens and sporting equipment. We also subsidise school activities such as swim school and life education to lessen the financial burden for parents. We run a successful and healthy canteen, maintaining and buying all equipment within the canteen and run the school uniform shop, purchasing all stock needed. Although fundraising is an important part of what we do, we love to also run fun events for the kids, such as discos, fairs, gift stalls for mother's and father's day, BBQs for sporting carnivals and now we are trying something new with this upcoming event a colour run! We greatly appreciate all support that our wonderful community can donate to this fun and exciting event and will update in the school newsletter with how much was raised and what the funds will go towards next year. If you want to know more, come along to our meetings, all are welcome!

Ronald McDonald House, Bristol is an independent charity which provides Home from Home accommodation, free of charge, to the families of critically ill children receiving care at the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. When a child is very ill, they may need to travel away from home to receive the treatment that they require. Our aim is to keep families together during what is probably one of the most stressful times of their lives. We accommodate over 800 families each year, providing all the comforts that you would expect to find in your own home, with spacious en-suite bedrooms, kitchens and communal living areas. Bristol is the only dedicated children’s hospital in the whole of the South West of England and Wales which means we support families across the entire region. We are always at full capacity and have long waiting lists of families desperately needing our help.
