The Second Decade of Service to Music. The Piccola Accademia di Montisi was founded in 2006. Since then more than 500 harpsichordists from 45 countries have come to Montisi to study, study or perform. The sound of harpsichords can be heard everywhere while walking about the village during masterclass weeks. Many of our alumni have gone on to win further awards and launch successful careers in the early music field. At the Bruges Harpsichord Competition numerous prize winners are a Montisi alumnus. Central to the success of the PAdM are its master teachers. Fifteen of the world’s finest harpsichordists have led over 50 week-long master classes over the past decade for small groups of students. The purpose of our fundraising is to continue to offer our master classes free to the best students worldwide. We need to raise another £10,000 to meet the needs of the 2017 summer programme.
