YTD Raised: n/aVariety - the Children's Charity of Ireland is dedicated to improving the lives of children who are sick, disadvantaged or live with special needs. We have been doing so since our formation in 1951. WE ARE ALL VOLUNTEERS! Through our Mobility Programme we have put over 55 Sunshine Coaches on the roads of Ireland and since 2009 we have presented 9 Liberty Swings to various schools and centre throught the country. This unique Wheelchair Swing allows children with disabilities to play, socialise and integrate with children of ability in an 'all-abilities' playground setting. This new innovation in Ireland will transform the lives of wheelchair bound children, giving them the freedom to 'fly through the air' and in most cases for the first time, experience a real sense of movement. Our current Mobility Programme focuses on providing specially adapted trikes and bikes for children who need them most.
