(UK, 271369) Young people with cerebral palsy in the Hastings and Peacehaven areas of East Sussex are now exercising by having fun thanks to the purchase of Wii’s by the Friends. They can even challenge their brothers and sisters to a game. Each week in East Sussex patients ranging from tiny babies to the very elderly are treated by community physiotherapists funded by the Friends. In the last year the Friends spent more than £40,000 on salaries for the physios and equipment, such as the Wii’s, for both physios and patients.
