(UK, 1136032) Ganga Prem Hospice is a spiritually-oriented charity whose aim is to work with and for terminally ill cancer patients. Our vision is that the Ganga Prem Hospice will serve as a model for other facilities to provide holistic care and improve the quality of life in the last days of a cancer patients journey. Ganga Prem Hospice aims to make first-class medical facilities available to cancer patients and their families to ensure maximum control over pain and other symptoms and to provide both conventional palliation and alternative therapeutic interventions. Ganga Prem Hospice will be a peaceful and loving environment for patients to make their transition with a minimum of emotional stress. Ganga Prem Hospice aims to provide services free of charge to any terminally ill patient, regardless of gender, age, ethnic group or religion. Ganga Prem Hospices current project is the construction of a fully equipped hospice in Rishikesh, North India, on the banks of the holy Ganges River (Ganga). The land has been purchased, funds are now needed to build, furnish and run the Hospice. The Ganga Prem Hospice currently runs a free monthly clinic in Rishikesh which offers: * Screening for possible cancer * Consultation for cancer patients * Consultation for terminally ill cancer patients * Distribution of free medicine Some ways that you can support the Ganga Prem Hospice * organise a fund-raising "event" * celebrate a festive occasion (such as your birthday, marriage, birth of child) by asking friends/family to make a donation to the Ganga Prem Hospice in your name * If you are a yoga teacher, you may wish to donate the proceeds from one class each month
