(AU, 14930035197) DELA is a volunteer run not for profit charity that provides opportunities for people on dialysis and their families. DELA, offers 3 getaways a year at the moment, we are looking at increasing these opportunities when possible. Currently we travel to Port Douglas once a year and do 2 cruises a year. 1 cruise around New Zealand and 1 cruise around the South Pacific. DELA, hires 2 rooms and sets up a temporary dialysis unit where we take 5 machines, RO filter system and everything else that requires an effective dialysis unit. We also take our own volunteer medical team consociating of renal nursing staff from around Australia; each nurse must meet strict criteria before they are allowed to attend a getaway with DELA. Our volunteer Medical staffs consists of 4 nurses, 1 Nephrologists, 1 Technician and a representative from DELA.
